Garden design: what is the process?
Garden design encompasses spatial design and planting design. It all starts with a conversation and some basic information like the size of your garden, some pictures and if you have any references you like, it is helpful to share.

How much does garden design in London cost?
All briefs are different so there isn’t a set price. Once we have a clear picture of the brief we will produce a scope of work with a budget against it for you to approve. If you do have a set budget please let us know so we can guide you as to how it is best spent and come up with realistic designs for you budget.
We’ve approved the design budget, whats next?
We take the time to get to know you and the site better, we consider how you wish to use the space, along with any features you want to include.
What will I see at each stage of the garden design process?
In the early design process we create mood boards to ensure our visions are aligned.
At the next step we present rough sketches, often of a couple of different layouts. We will talk them through and you are able to feed back.
Depending on the level of detail required, we will then produce drawings/ 3D renders of the chosen route.
Materials are carefully considered and plants selected to create a space suited to your personal taste and your garden’s conditions. We can even recommend/design furniture & lighting to help bring it all together if this is part of your brief.
When the design in approved it is time to commence landscaping.
Who does the landscaping?
Whilst we don’t have in house landscapers, we do have trusted contractors we can partner with and are able to project manage the process from start to finish if you require or you may wish to do this bit yourself to save on costs.
Once the hardscaping and ground works are complete it is time for the plants to go in. This is where the garden really starts to come alive.
Do you offer garden maintainence?
A garden is a growing, evolving ecosystem. If you are new to gardening or would like ongoing maintenance/garden development we can stay involved. We also offer bespoke courses to help you can confidence and knowledge.
