AN EAST LONDON, WOODLAND INSPIRED FRONT GARDEN.

Inspired by nearby woodland, two trees were planted to provide some shade to the front of the house in the summer months, creating beautiful dappled light.

A toddlers viewpoint was considered and a path created through the planting along with a wooden mushroom for a bit of fun in this family garden. It doubles up as a habitat for invertebrates.

The planting is subtle, with flowers in white pink and maroon being reflected in bark, stem and leaf colour. A bespoke fence picks up on the house’s original cladding giving a Scandi vibe.

More photos to be added when the path is complete next Spring.

For us this garden is all about the view from the kitchen. We can’t wait for spring when the trees will have spidery flowers and catkins before the leaves emerge.
